The Federal Civil Service Commission
(FCSC) wishes to announce vacancies in the Office of the Surveyor-
General of the Federation.
2. Suitably qualified candidates with
character and integrity, who are interested in pursuing a career in the
Federal Civil Service are invited to apply for any of the posts
indicated below:-
a. Director (Surveyor) SGL 17
Qualifications Applicant
must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and
Geoinformatics:Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science /
Engineering; Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote
Sensing; Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or
any other equivalent qualification(s). Applicant must be registered
with Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) for a minimum period of
fourteen years post registration. In addition, applicant must possess a
minimum of twenty-six years post qualification cognate experience in the
area of Geospatial Information Science and Technology (Surveying and
Mapping).
b. Deputy Director (Surveyor) SGL 16 Qualifications Applicant
must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and
Geoinformatics, Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science/Engineering;
Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote Sensing;
Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or any other
equivalent qualification(s).
Applicant must be registeredwith
the SurveyorsCouncil of Nigeria(SURCON) for a minimum of ten years post
registration. In addition, applicant must possess a minimum of
twenty-two years post qualification cognate experience in the area of
Geospatial Information Science and Technology (Surveying and Mapping).
c. Assistant Director (Surveyor) SGL 15
Qualifications
Applicant
must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and
Geoinformatics, Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science/Engineering;
Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote Sensing;
Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or any other
equivalent qualifications. Applicant must be registered with the
Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) for a minimum of six years post
registration. In addition, applicant must possess a minimum of Eighteen
years post qualification cognate experience in the area of Geospatial
Information Science and Technology (Surveying and Mapping).
3. Method of Application:
Interested
applicants shall complete and submit their Applications in hard copies
at the office of the Honourable Chairman or the offices of the
Honourable Commissioners, FCSC. For the avoidance of doubt, completion/submission of applications is free and at no cost to applicants.
Application Duration
Completion/Submission will run for three (3) weeks from the date of advertisement.
